Everyone loves those songs you know all the words to, but couldn’t possibly name the band that made them popular! A one-hit wonder is a top 40 phenomenon: the combination of artist and song that makes it big with one single, but is unable to repeat the achievement. Such music includes “Rockin’ Robin” in the 1950s to “Mambo No. 5” in the 90s. Artists of one hit wonders often fade into obscurity after their singular success, but three talented performers will be singing all those favorites in one great show. You’ll be on your feet singing and dancing along to these hits!

To add to your evening, wine and beer will be on sale in the lobby an hour before the music starts.

Flower Bomber Live Installation Experience
Jun 8 - Jun 9
Curious how a to-scale World War II bomber will be installed over 60 feet above the Taubman Museum of Art's atrium floor?
Join us as artist Paul Villinski and the Museum's curatorial team undertake the monumental task of installing the site-specific installation "Flower Bomber," featuring a 750-pound interpretation of an iconic, 1940's B25 Mitchell airplane.
With a wingspan of 30 feet, the sculpture features a complex wooden structure with a skin of translucent fiberglass attached with 3,000 rivets. A special Teupen lift -- one of the few in the Commonwealth of Virginia -- will be used by the team to suspend the work from three points of the Museum's structural roofline beams.
Once suspended, "Flower Bomber" will deliver its payload of more than 3,000 aluminum flowers onto the atrium floor where they will accumulate into a large pile. Seven different flower species will be represented, each laser-cut and shaped by hand in Paul's New York studio. They are made from aluminum cans collected by Sure We Can, a non-profit recycling center, community space and sustainability hub in Brooklyn where canners -- people who collect cans and bottles from the streets to make a living -- come together with students and neighbors through recycling, composting, gardening and arts.

Get ready to kick up your heels at our free community barn dance in celebration of The Crooked Road's annual Mountains of Music Homecoming!
Featuring music from The Wildmans!
Don't know how to dance? Don't worry! Members of Floyd County's own, Back Porch Cloggers, will be on-hand throughout the evening to give you some tips on how to kick up your heels and have some fun! :)
