Local Folks in the Valley: Our Community Coming together for the kids

Our Community Coming together for the kids

STAR CITY READS FALL FESTIVAL
What an amazing community event.Organizations from all around the Valley came together for this FREE EVENT.
Kids had fun, received free books, shoes, pumpkins, food and did I mention had fun.
What I found amazing is the working together the community did.
Since it is Crime Prevention Month the City of Roanoke was out in full force. Seeing the police officers talking to the kids, sitting with the animals and participating the entire time.
Star City Reads along with Goodwill of the Valleys worked for quite a while organizing and putting this event together for the families.
When parents, and grandparents can take the entire family to an event and not have to worry about prices and multiplying an admission free, drink prices etc. it stands out as one of the best festivals of all time.
Thanks to all those who took part. All the organizations who came out, set up booths, brought animals, gave away goodies, face painted, and all who made these kids smile and laugh.

THANK YOU TO ALL ORGANIZATIONS WHO CAME TO BRING THIS INCREDIBLE TIME TO OUR KIDS AND GRAND-KIDS~
